The 4130 alloy metal used in this product is a low alloy steel containing chromium and molybdenum as strengthening agents. This material is then carefully machined using precise and accurate measuring. The end result offers good mechanical properties such as overall strength, wear-resistance and toughness.
Two outside diameters (OD) are available (1-1/4" and 1-3/8")
1-1/4" OD – (Razor Compatible); Standard bar OD size used on most threaded forks; requires typical Razor clamp or comparable clamp size. Note a shim will be required when using an oversized clamp. Please select “None Slotted” option (coming soon) for use with Proto SCS or Baby SCS compression.
1-3/8" OD – Oversized bar size used with threadless forks that require hidden internal compression (HIC). Please select “None Slotted” option (coming soon) for use with Proto SCS. Note 1-3/8" OD is not compatible with Proto Baby SCS compression.
Based on the type of compression you are using, you can choose either “Slotted” or “None Slotted” bar versions. Note the 1-1/4” OD “Slotted” version is the proper configuration for replacing Razor scooter bars. All Proto SCS compression systems require the use of “None Slotted” bars.
Our low contamination TIG welding process always produces exceptionally high quality welds. You can expect the welds on our products will always be clean, strong, reliable and visually appealing.
